Running Happy with the Happy Band

I have crazy hair. It's in a weird in-between stage, side wisps that drive me bonkers when I work out and I have headband ADD. I just can't commit to one brand, and then when I find one I like I never remember to put it on when I'm getting ready for the gym. Undecided I need to get multiple bands of my faves and always keep at least one, possibly two in my truck with my extra Polar HRM and my cycle shoes.

Recently I was asked to test out a new headband from Running Happy. They asked me what my favorite color was and if I had fine hair. I like pink and yes, I have fine hair. They sent me a nice grosgrain headband in pink with a special added bonus: a non-slip clip for fine hair. Sweet Cool

I wore it to the gym for a 2 hour workout. An hour of cycle and an hour of yoga. I did not touch the band once during that entire time period. No adjustments necessary and I didn't even feel it, and more importantly, I didn't feel my hair in my eyes! Wink

I did have a few wisps come out, but nothing like I am used to. And after a ton of downward dogs, the Happy Band really held up!  And the no-slip clip did its job!!

Would you like to win one of your own?? It's easy!! You know I like to make it easy! This is what you have to do:

  1. Like Running Happy on Facebook and tell them Jenny Hodges is MetamorFit sent you!
  2. Tell me what type of fitness activity you'd do while wearing your Happy Band

And that's it!!

I'll pick a winner from all the comments made on February 17th Laughing

  • I would wear it to run in, walk in, yoga in, barre in and to go to Target in Smile
  • I would definitely do more yoga. It would clearly make my runs less about adjusting my hair and more about the run.

I have a short bob with long bangs. I also have very curly hair. When I pull it back I look like a Charlie Brown character. Head bands will not stay in place at all!

    I need this!!!!
  • I liked Running Happy's facebook page, and I would wear the Happy Band while running or at the gym
  • Running and working out is not something I enjoy, so if there's anything that can make the experience more enjoyable, I'm in. For me, feeling good in my workout clothes (and accessories) is pretty important. If I go to the gym feeling dumpy in my gear, my workout just feels... blah. I'm kind of in need of a big workout gear overhaul.
  • Running! Walking my monster dogs. Chasing my child.
  • I would wear the Happy Band during turbo kick, Zumba, running and during bootcamp that's starting next week! It would be great not to adjust my hair every few minutes.
  • I liked them on FB and told them you sent me!

And I would wear this for running and LIFTING and SWEATING!
  • I would wear it while running!  Need good bands b/c I hate when I have to re-adjust when they fall out.  This sounds like a great one!  Thanks for hosting & congrats on your weightloss & lifestyle!  You're definitely an inspiration!  Good for you!
  • I'd wear it doing zumba, or chasing the kids, or dancing on the kinect, or just to work...all kinds of possibilities.
  • I liked  Running Happy on Facebook.  I would wear it to run, dance, while lifting weights, doing cardio, doing my workout programs or running after my 4 kids. Smile
  • Running, spinning, yoga, lifting...every day!
  • I'm always skeptical of fitness headbands as I have never found one that will actually stay on my head- I think I must have a weird shaped skull. But I get really annoyed when things won't stay put during a workout so I've just started to use bobby-pins. This is much more fashionable though!
  • I've been searching for a good handband that will keep my super long hair out of my face while running.  Right now I'm just using a cheap one from The Dollar Tree, but it isn't working the best.  I'd use the headband while running, walking, and strength training (love me some home workout dvds - Jillian Michaels & Bob Harper rock!).  I'd love to win the pink one that you have featured on your blog.  Pink's my favorite color.  Thanks for doing the giveaway!
  • Oh my gosh...I would be in HEAVEN if I found a headband that actually helped keep my hair back and didn't slip. I too have fine hair that drives me nuts when I work out.  I always think I must have a odd shaped head or something because they just slip up the back and don't work. At least all the ones I have tried. I am just starting my new fitness weight loss journey so right now I would use it for my walks and my eliptical machine. I would LOVE the chance to win this headband to try. PLEASE!!!! I would so do the happy dance Smile
  • Debbie, you are the winner of the Happy Band! Check your email, please!
