#NSNG Paleo Meal Planning Week 2

Last week I did GREAT with my meal planning. Totally stayed on plan, made my own mayo, did everything right. 

And then the kids would go to bed, and I would start to graze on snack food around the house. Yell A diet high in healthy fat like what's recommended on NSNG, is awesome EXCEPT when you combine it with crappy snack foods. Then it becomes a recipe for disaster.  I had a long talk with the kids, told them I was struggling and really needed these foods out of the house, they agreed, and together we came up with a list of healthier alternatives that would not only be better for me, but for them too.

And then last night (Saturday) James went to the store. He brought home junk food. I was weak. I ate some last night. I just don't know what's going on in my brain. I do so great all day long, and then bam, it's just like a switch goes off once 8pm rolls around and says "the all you can eat buffet line is open, have fun."  I need to reign this in, and it needs to happen NOW.

I always approach every day, every meal, as a new beginning, so here we go. No use wasting energy on what happened in the past. Time to focus on moving forward.

During the past 5 years of this healthy lifestyle, I had ups and down, twists and turns. Weight loss and healthy living is not a linear journey.

I'm in the middle of one of those twists right now, but I'll make it out, sooner rather than later.

 

 

Weekly Meal Plan January 19-25

Sunday- Chicken Stir Fry w/ the Best Stir Fry Sauce

Monday- The Best Grilled Chicken You Will EVER eat w/ Mashed Cauliflower

Tuesday- Greek Salad w/ grilled chicken (leftover chicken from recipe above.)

Wednesday- Meatloaf modified from Nom Nom Paleo

Thursday- Sunrise Scramble

Friday- Leftovers

Saturday-James Surprise (husband cooks the meal!!)
