What I'm Reading Wednesday

It has been a CRAZY week!! I think I mentioned in a post (if not, I apologize, but I've talked about it on social media) that I have been reassigned to a library MUCH closer to my house. I spent this week working at this library and WOW...there is SO MUCH going on. A lot of changes are going to be happening in my life. And in my kids lives. They all start school next week, and my oldest is going to be starting middle school. Whew. Big deep breaths.

Okay, so what did I read??

Last week I mentioned that I was reading Buried Prey by John Sandford. Finished it, LOVED it. I really like the character of Lucas Davenport.

I don't typically read these types of mysteries, but I really liked it. It kept me guessing "who done it?" all the way up until the end. Very well done. I'm certainly going to add more of these novels to my must read list.

I also started and finished Luckiest Girl Alive. It was a good story. It was compared to Gone Girl, but nah, I don't think so. I don't want to give away too much because there would be the potential for a HUGE spoiler, but let me just say that the incident that Ani eludes to when talking about the documentary that she is being interviewed for was not something that I saw coming. So good job there Jessica Knoll. I also found out that Reese Witherspoon bought the rights to this book and is making it into a movie. I think Reese herself would be a GREAT Ani, but she might be too old as Ani is 29 in the story, so we'll see.

Have you read Luckiest Girl Alive? What did you think?? What else have you been reading?

Heard good things about Luckiest Girl; will have to check it out. Recently enjoyed Carolyn Kepnes "You" (twisted but a fun read) & finishing Michael Robotham's Bomb Proof (meh. His other books are much better)
